Juggling
2020
6B graphite, colored pencils, collage
30" x 22.5"

Lots of juggling these days,

maybe always, but heightened now.

There is a certain amount of joy that comes with learning something new, like learning how to juggle, but there’s also

a certain amount of fear and uncertainty.

Things focus, un-focus, move around within and outside

In juggling there is a repetition of briefly holding, but knowing one must release in order to hold again.

I experience this cycle of holding and releasing throughout my life, but again, maybe heightened now, like everything else.
